About PJ

The Full Story

PJ Ju is a Music Director/Pianist and multi-genre producer/singer/songwriter in NYC and Nashville. They are the inaugural Winner of the MUSE/Maestra MD Experience with "Wicked" on Broadway. Recently they helmed music for Milwaukee Repertory Theater's "Dino! An Evening with Dean Martin",  as MD/Arranger/Accompanist (piano/guitar onstage).

 

Their Pop and Country songs have been recorded by artists globally across NYC, Nashville, Boston, Canada, and Argentina. XOMG POP!, young girl supergroup created by Jessalynn and Jojo Siwa, released their song "1234Ever" as a single. Their production and single on JoLivi “Ghost of You” was featured on the Ty Bentli Show on Apple Music Country and single “About Time” on Kelsi Mayne reached the finals in the 2019 Sirius XM Top of the Country competition.

 

PJ's songs recorded by YouTuber and Pop Artist Landon Austin, including "Till I'm Out of Stars", "Always Yours", and "Somethin'" have garnered over 3.5MM Spotify Streams. "'Cause I Can" by Franky C x PJ Ju was recently featured in American Eagle's Spring Collection Social Media Campaign.

 

PJ hosts and performs in songwriter rounds venues such as NYC’s The Cutting Room and The Bitter End; and Nashville’s The Listening Room Cafe, Bobby’s Idle Hour, and formerly Belcourt Taps.

 

An AUDELCO award nominee in Composition/Sound Design for Classical Theatre of Harlem’s “Henry V”, PJ has been Sound Designer/Composer for Hope Summer Repertory Theatre "Much Ado About Nothing" and "Hold These Truths" (Broadway World MI Award Sound Design Runner-Up), Titan Theatre Company "Much Ado About Nothing", Jones College Prep "Twelfth Night", New Haarlem Theater Arts "Flying Fables", The Beggars Group "Armour of Wills". They are a proud alum of The Juilliard School Pre-College, where they received classical training in Piano and Composition, and was Assistant Conductor to the Pre-College Chamber Chorus.
